Chernysheno Toys

The name is associated with the craft center in the village Chernysheno (Orlovskaya oblast, Central Russia). The most characteristic figure is that of the three-headed steed. Also popular are female figures with different headdresses, wet nurses and cuckoos. Decoration consists of lines drawn in orange, green, light blue and yellow on a natural clay background.
