Otradnoye Toys

Otradnoye toys are the work of a particular craftsman in Otradnoye, a town in Leningradskaya oblast. On the toy-whistles are depicted various scenes from everyday life and fairy-tales with the participation of people and animals. Common features of the craft are painting with bright colors — blue, red, yellow, green and brown — and small ornamental shapes among which dots or circles and crosses predominate.
